FAQ
Everything worth knowing before you order — black lavash, options, and how to find us on Brighton Beach Ave.
What is black lavash?
Black lavash is a dark, charcoal-colored flatbread used to wrap shawarma — the signature of Craft Georgia at 234 Brighton Beach Ave in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. It's the same Georgian-style wrap that made Craft Food a street-food name in Tbilisi, and no other spot in Brighton Beach serves it.
Is this the same Craft Food from Tbilisi?
Yes. Craft Georgia is the New York home of Craft Food (Craft Shawarma), one of Tbilisi's strongest street-food brands, which grew across the city and Batumi. The same recipes — black lavash, smoked ajika, made to order — are now on Brighton Beach Ave.
Do you have vegetarian or fasting options?
Yes. Craft Georgia serves vegetarian items and a fasting (samarkhvo) menu made with no animal products — the same options offered back in Georgia. Look for the Vegetarian and Fasting badges on the menu.
Where is Craft Georgia located?
Craft Georgia is at 234 Brighton Beach Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11235 — one minute from the Brighton Beach B/Q subway station and two blocks from the boardwalk.
